NC ASHRM is pleased
to offer this additional communication
tool for our members and those non-members
with an interest in risk management in
the healthcare setting. I invite you to
take a few minutes to look through our

our organization. The group is an affiliated
chapter of the American
Society of Healthcare Risk Management
and offers valuable benefits to our members.
We welcome your interest and, if you are
not already a member, hope you will consider
joining our organization.
The North Carolina
Chapter was established in 1980. Our purposes
include, but are not limited to:
- Advancing the development and professional
practice of healthcare risk management
through education and training
- Providing education and training through
programs, development of training tools,
publications and accredited continuing
education seminars
- Promoting the development of membership
in the NC Chapter and in the American
Society for Healthcare Risk Management
- Establishing a mechanism to recognize
members or others who have made a significant
contribution or achieved a major accomplishment
in the field of healthcare risk management
- Acting as a resource for healthcare
risk managers and healthcare organizations
confronting the challenges of delivering
healthcare related services today.
We currently have more
than 200 active members. The annual dues
are $60.00, which can also be paid through
non-member registration at our Spring
or Fall Conference. For membership information,

our Membership Committee Chairperson.
The annual business
meeting is held in conjunction with the
Fall Conference. Generally, we hold one
meeting each year at "the beach"
and one in the western part of North Carolina.
Additional educational programs are offered
periodically around the state. Check our
"Next Educational Event" page
for the current offerings. Our Sponsors
generously support all of our programs,
conferences, seminars and workshops.
